How would you know?
Imagine for a moment if clocks and watches did not exist.
How would you know when to get up in the morning?
Or go to bed?
How would you know when to go to work?
How would you know when it's time to go home?
How would you know when to get together with friends for a drink and a movie?
How would you know?
Hands palm to palm,
Shinzen

At most for time, we'd have the sun, seasons and more relaxed ideas. "Meet you at sun down." For sure we would have a closer bond to nature and the cyclic ways, not linear and not strict. We would not be able to be duped by a global warming farce as we'd understand natures cycles, the daily cycles, the sun spot cycles, and the much longer ones that all interplay.
ReplyDeleteThe second hand itself was only introduced off the back of the horrible "time is money" idea, who needs to know seconds? It is there for control and so the master could mechanically enslave the worker.
I have not worn a watch in years.
Awww..you've let the cat out of the bag!
ReplyDeleteYou see it the same as I do...we would be more in touch with nature...and perhaps be more relaxed...and feel more free.
I, too, no longer wear a watch.
Have you ever noticed how baseball, developed before the rule of clocks, operates in innings...and more modern sports are dominated by the clock?
How does an apple know when to let go of the tree...or the tree to let go of the apple?
ReplyDeleteHow would I?
ReplyDeleteGuess I'd just know. Naturally.
Niiiiiccceeeeee :)
Yes, all naturally just knowing and flowing. Thanks.
